just back from canton-land. well, HARDOUT canton-land. no, i'm not racist, don't look at me with accusing eyes you two. i can't believe the both of you told me we wouldn't have been friends if i had an indian accent. i feel so insecure now ;p
anyhoos, i can't begin to express how awesome it is to not hear 500 different LOUD voices screaming in cantonese with their echoes swirling round and round in a high ceiling-ed 6-star hotel. because at any given time, it was a minimum of 500 voices. i stayed at the venetian in macau and made two day-trips to hongkong. apparently, it works out cheaper? and the venetian is GORGEOUS. the opulence takes your breath away. its 2-million sq feet of fake italy within a building in china. i mean, do you asians get any cooler? and the beds were so so so so so so soooooo sinfully comfortable, it has to be the first set of five days in which i have slept SO much. in culinary senses, i've experienced some awesome food first hand too. the worlds best dim sum, portugese egg tarts, grilled salmon, african chicken (incidentally from portugese colonialised mozambique) and all kinds of exciting stuff. oh they have egg tart gelato too. EGG TART??
oh oh oh oh oh oh and i got my first original Louis Vuitton Vernis!! in pomme d'amour. (nod your heads and pretend you understand, now say ooh. thats right i don't care how many ppl look at you weirdly, say OOOOOHhh). and a gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS kate spade wallet. though i suppose you guys won't understand, on account that you never understand the beautiful asymmetry with which i paint my nails.
anyway, hongkong was nice and stuff, but.. its just a bigger singapore! and singapore is less polluted. yeah, why are macau and hongkong SO polluted?? there is a perpetual fog every single day. you don't really see sky. i like sky. i'm kiwi. we're nature-dweller people things. except for matty whose weird and into his cosplay thing. anyway, he's a token kiwi and i'm real. so vast difference :p
by the way, can i have more power over this blog thingie? not because i'm power-hungry, which i am btw. cos i'm indian, and i have to compete with you jason, you chinese probably currently in your motherland btw. OOOH enjoy hongkong yea?? :) but yea matty will ask for some power maybe in three years or something. cos he's kiwi. but can i control the layout?/ its killing me. the purple, kills me. :D i can make it pretty and stuff. oh which reminds me HEHEHE of something i had to say.
so the people in macau, hongkong are loud and stuff, but they're so orderly. like queue-ing up, everyone does things when their turn comes you know? not pushing, shoving, rude etc. very refined. well macau more so than hongkong anyway. and hongkong really in central and causeway bay area, not so much mongkok. so every morning we've got buffet breakfast, and people queue up to take the salmon, congee, yogurt, eggs, toast bread etc. today, we went really early, cos we had to pack, go for gondola rides etc before check-out and flying back to KL. there were a handful of chinese people, about 5 indian families and your random whites. everyone was queue-ing up or getting stuff, and i was the only person waiting for wholewheat bread to be toasted, i looked away for a second and when i turned back my toast was gone and an indian fellow was ambling away with it. i mean CHRIST, how INDIAN!! its TOAST. freakin TOAST YOUR OWN TOAST. you lazy bastard. ;p
oh and mattias, its really easy to use this thing, just login with your gmail account, and you'll have the add post, edit settings, view blog tabs. and we can all merrily update one another.
i'll write more later. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE LAYOUT. or authorize me so i can. ;p
much and more love.
